Neon SE is a hybrid tube line preamplifier built around a Korg Nutube.
The signal meets the tube and nothing else that gets in its way: our Capless Master Repro signal path has no capacitor and no transformer between your source and your power amplifier.
KORG NUTUBE
The heart of Neon SE is a Korg Nutube, a modern tube that brings the character of valve sound in a compact, efficient form. It does the voltage gain and also handles the conversion between balanced and single-ended, in both directions.
CAPLESS MASTER REPRO
Proprietary Nereneas DC servo loops let only DC, never the signal, return through the loop. The result is low distortion and a signal that stays pure from input to output.
HANDS-ON, WITHOUT THE CLUTTER
- Motorized volume control with a CNC-machined aluminum knob in gold
- Capacitive touch buttons, the same technology used across all Nereneas products
- The Nereneas logo on the front is a touch button that switches the unit in and out of standby, so you never reach for the rear mains switch
- Master Blaster 1 remote included CONNECTIONS
- Inputs: 1 x XLR, 1 x RCA
- Outputs: 1 x XLR, 1 x RCA
- Both outputs are fully separate, each with its own buffer. They do not influence each other and work at the same time, so biamping is possible.
- 3-position gain switch (low / mid / high) on the rear sets the overall gain to match the power stage it feeds
- Phase INV inverts the phase passively (XLR input only)
- IEC mains inlet with switch
PART OF THE SINGLE-ENDED RANGE Neon SE belongs to the Nereneas single-ended range, together with Rollo SE and aRCA. Balanced inputs are converted to single-ended and processed that way, even on models with XLR connections.
